Default Extending Autometer Gauge Harness

Im gonna be running some autometer gauges in my car and i need to extend their harness they gave me. I went out and got some 18gauge wire..but it looks like thats even alittle bigger then their wire. Will this be ok to use still?

No. Bigger is better but not really needed. The voltage and amprage of the signal is really tiny. That is why they use a 20 ga. wire. You'll be fine is this situation with what you have.

Yup, I extended all my wires with I think 18 gauge, maybe 16. No problems at all.
