Default electrical problem..

I have a problem, when I turn my headlights on or when they come on by them self. The odometer/ trip gauge goes real dim & after about 5 mins the fuse will blow. My gauge lights go, along with my tail lights. (Brake lights still work) Any clue where to look to fix this? Ive tried everything. Heres what I have that could be the problem. 2 autometer gauges, indiglo gauge overlays, led taglight.. Ive rewired both gauges, checked all the wires for my overlays. I havent tried the tag light, but very doubt very seriously thats the problem. The car hasnt moved or been started in 3 weeks. Nothing has been messed with between then & now. So I have no idea.. How about you guys?

Also, my trans temp gauge the bulb keeps getting extremely hot till it starts smoking. Maybe a clue, duno.. Someone please help..

Thanks,
Vann

For starters lets take the fuse out of all the guages you have wired up and see if the problem is still there.
