Hmm im interest in a good set of door speakers because with the t-tops off its hard to hear them highs. I have a sub so bass is no issue, i just need better highs.. anyone recommend me a good 6.5 for highs?

I have the infinity kappa 60.5 components in my silverado. They sound great and are loud even though they are a little under-powered with my factory head unit. If you look around you can find them for about $200.

Update post. I finally installed the CDT CL-61A in the doors. I am very very pleased. Good product, thanks for the suggestion above.

As far as the Beyma subs, be sure that you check the mounting depth. They look to be pretty deep.

Default Done

Update with photos. The system is complete.... almost:

Pioneer DEH-P77DH h/u drives cheapo 6.5 pioneer coax speakers in rear sail panels.
Steering wheel control adapter.
Pioneer GM-X572 amp driving door mounted CDT Audio CL-61A 6-1/2" Components.
Pioneer GM-7150 mono amp driving four JL 6" subs in Slim's 'vert enclosure.
Swapped in a t/a power antenna.

This setup kicks *** with the top down and cruising +70 MPH. I can hear and feel the whole range. The only thing I would consider changing is the rear speakers. If money grew on trees I would throw another set of CDT components in the rear and swap the two channel X572 amp for a four channel. I might just delete the rear speakers 'cause they dont do **** really.

I am filtering high pass, low pass etc via the H/U instead of the amp controls. Its easier to adjust that way. The 7150 amp came with a remote gain control that increases subwoofer output 0,6,9,12 dB on a rotary ****. Bitchen for when I raise and lower the softtop. 0dB for top up. Top down; 6dB for stop and go traffic, 9dB for ~75 MPH, and 12dB for checkin out the ladies

I know the Pioneer stuff isnt as exotic as most others post, but it gets the job done well for the $$.

Just need to put carpet on the amp cover and grills over the subs. Its done.

Thanks to those that helped above.
