Easy instructions to bypass gm factory BOSE for trucks suburbans and tahoes!!
Remove the factory radio and the air conditioner controls. Then remove the panel to the right of the A/C that contains the airbag cut off switch or the cubby pocket if it is a suburban/tahoe. If you look to the right behind the A/C controls you will see a clip that pushes in from the back of the dash. If you reach your arm through the cubby hole that was removed and then reach your other arm through the space under the radio and behind the A/C there is a connector that looks identical to the connector that plugs into the back of the radio. That connector is plugged into what looks like a aftermarket factory harness adaptor that would otherwise fit the truck. This is the jumper harness that feeds input from the radio down to the amp and then feeds it back into the facotry cross dash harness if the truck did not have bose. If you unplug it and route it to the back of where the factory radio used to reside you can then put a harness adaptor and an aftermaket radio and amp system. To identify the harness you can drop the panel under the drivers dash and there is a 1/2 thick electrical harness that runs to the center console with the amp input and then feeds the amp output back into the factory cross dash harness. Just unplug it and let it lay lose then you are ready to go.
