Installing Speakers just wanted to know how to install new speakers in rear passenger area. i bought them new and dont know how to install them and dont want to pay 100$ to have them put in. i have a 98 fbird
The ones in the back seat area are easy. Just take the grille off and there is 4 bolts holding the speaker in. The rear hatch speakers are riveted in i think, i haven't really messed with those though because they dont make much of an impact in my setup.

in fact, using those rear hatch speakers pulls the soundstage away from the front of the car where it belongs, so i would just disconnect those speakers completely.
I have a 4 channel amp and the the back speakers arent connected to it, i disconnected them completely because they sound like there is alot of distortion just running them off the HU while the other 4 speakers are crystal clear on amp power. Maybe i'll "pimp my ride" and replace those speakers with flip out tv screens.
