trip odometer problem

trip odometer problem every so often my trip odometer just resets itself without me touching it?? has anyone else had this problem or know why its doing it?? it will do it every couple of days....
Check your battery terminals make sure they are clean. My battery was not showing any sign of crapping out, but I replaced it anyway with a red top and my trip odometer has never reset again. There is also a TSB on this problem but it has to do with cold weather. But I say its the battery.

ya that car has been reading good voltage and its clean but its still original to the best of my knowledge and that would make it 6 years old. its pretty hot here in florida so id say its not that--ill check out the battery. any other opinions welcome as well.
