The BEST Radar detector??? I need opinions on what the absolute BEST Radar/Laser Detector out there? I have heard many competing views and found alot of conflicting research, so I figured the best people to ask are the people who use them! I welcome all comments!!!!!! Thanks
most people are going to say either the Escort Passport 8500 or the Valentine One. look at the features between the two and decide that way. personally, i will be getting the Valentine One, cause it has the directional arrows, and the ability to tell you how many radar signals it is picking up

rx65 I own a electronics shop (not that it means much!) the RX65 is a awesome radar detector. It picks up lasar, but WARNING laser guns are off until the officer turns ot on. If your the only car on the road your nailed. I got busted in Texas 6 weeks ago bring home a B4C (Z28). I was the only car on the road. Sure my detector said LASAR-LASAR but the blue lights were flashing by the time I hit the brake! Overall the RX65 is on top of the game.

I bought my V1 on ebay. If you decide for a Valentine make sure it is the most up to date. Ask for a serial number and check it at the Valentine One website. That will tell you for sure if it is worth the money the seller wants.
Any detector you get has travelled thru the mail at one point or another. They are pretty bulletproof as far as that goes no matter what you decide to get.

I just bought a valentine one probably 2 weeks ago. I was thinking "they have a 30 day trial period, i'll give this $400 radar a try."
The very first night in my car, I was going by a grocery store where it was beeping at me, arrows pointed ahead, then sideways, then behind as I passed...and kept beeping...wtf! This goes on for probably 5 min (grocery store was long gone); the radar is going ape ****. I thought it was broken (but I maintain my low speed). I look way back behind me (probably a good 100 yrds) and i'm being lite up by a state trooper. I laughed and decided that I absolutely love this thing. It's a keeper
