Problem with whine thru subs!
Ok, got my 5-channel MTX amp hooked up, but only have my two 12" mtx subs hooked up (my four audiobahn 6.5's aren't in yet). I used three sets of rca's, front/rear/sub, and used the remote wire on the sub rca's as the switched 12v source to the amp. so, ran the system, subs sounded good, no whine at all. started the car, and get a very high pitched whine thru both subs. it does not vary with the volume level, so i thought it was due to the power being next to the rca's. well, I switched the sub rca's with both front/rear rca's and the whine was there no matter which set of cables were plugged in. Also, the whine was still there with no cables attached to the sub channel, although it was still in 4-channel mode so this may be the reason for that.
So, is this primarily due to the small power wire running with the rca's, and even tho it's not directly connected to the front/rear sets, it is possibly still being picked up?
Any help would be appreciated!

damnit, really?! I always wondered what the hell it was, and somebody mentioned to me that it was for a remote. i also knew to keep them separate, but this was the first time using that wire, so it figures. thanks for the help!
