dimonds or jls ok im on a debate shold i buy 2 12" dimonds m6 for about 150 a peice thay push 800 rms or go with a other maker like jl for about $600 dollers i can get one 12 w6v2 thats about 800rms and i will have a hifoncs amp that pushes 1800 watts at a 1 ohm load what do you think

In all my years of working on a professional level with everything from Pro audio to car audio, I've never seen a driver 'push' wattage, yet I hear and see this quite a bit - can someone please explain this to me?

They have some awesome subs for the Money (Now they are strating to charge more Though)
It seems that you are set on the HiFonics amp. 1800w is alot of power.
1 10" in a stealth enclosure is pretty Loud. Suprisingly loud. 2 12" with that much power will slam pretty hard.
What are you going for; Street Bass or Compition Levels?

well my friend has 2 12 m6's with a hifonc amp but the amp is 1500 not 1800 but ive never herd any better if he turned it up he scared and never turns it up but his spl and sq is extrmley great i would be going for comp level but i dont want everything sounding like crap i care more about sq then spl

what, you don't know what "pushing watts" in a sub is? when a sub is rated for 800 watts, it "pushes" that power when the cone moves up and down.....jeez, get with it, man!!!

So is that why the cone becomes blurry when I crank it up? Is that those watts just being "pushed" right off the speaker cone? Thanks for the explanation 02Z28LS1 - I've been so confused for such a long time! See, just another reason to love LS1Tech!!
