Has anyone put subs in the rear seat locations

with the flash it changes the color of the actual carpet, but everyone says its almost dead on to them and in the pictures it looks bright in there but its actually dark. so its a bit deceiving.
oh yah... as far as weight goes i dint weigh it. but the total box glass/mdf is prolly id say 40lbs or less... i go to the gym and its not as much as a 45lb plate. that subthump box has way more mdf than what i made.

a stereo shop Custom Car Alarms located in Concord, Ca got it for me i get all my stereo stuff from them. they keep buggin me to do tvs but im ok with that.
and to all of you who can only comment sayin they are better off in the hatch. im guessing you never really took the time to tune your stereo like your motor. you cant just have a box in a certain location and say cuz the hatch it should be there. do some homework and read about volume and air space for your certain sub all subs are designed different.

I'm wanting to build a box for the rear seat area myself and keep getting the same responses about putting it in the hatch area. I don't want all the weight back there and don't want to lose my T-Top storage and the ability to toss junk back there when needed. Also don't want to drop 100+ lbs on the *** end of my car like that. My problem is I don't have a ton of wattage to put in the speakers... if I built a ported box with the ports aimed up would that be better than having the ports aimed forward? I get thrown off when trying to deal with airspace outside the box itself.
