Default need help wiring a new sub and amp

OK i'm getting ready to start wiring my amp and sub, i have a Kicker Comp CVR 400w Rms 800peak with a pioneer 760W 380wx1 i got a Scosche Amp wiring kit speaker wire and a Scosche Battery Terminal and basic tool do i need any thing else I've never done this before so advice is welcome its also being hooked up to the factory head unit this is going the be installed in a 2003 extended cab 4x4 untill i get a trans am thanks for the replys they well appricated!

that relly helped me out just rember to run the rca on the other side of the car then the power and scratch off the paint on the ground

so far i got everything except RCA adpater and its killing me i can't figure it out does anyone have suggestions

To hook up to the monsoon system, you have to have a converter that converts high level (speaker wire) signals to low level (RCA cable) signals i beleive.

Well, what problems with the RCA's are you having? Are you having trouble with turning the stock head unit speaker-level outputs to RCA's? Simply pick one of these up:

this will turn your speaker wire into RCA's and run these to the amp, and you're good to go!

i got it, the the guy at radio shack that told me how to hook it up didn't know what he was talking about so i called customer support and got the whole thing worked out it looks great sounds great thanks for all your help!
