Default 13w7 box needed

I need to desighn a box for my 13w7 for the hatch of my 94 z28. The box needs to be about 2 cu ft and be made out of 3/4 inch mdf with 1 1/2 inches of mdf on the top where the sub mounts. If anyone has this sub in a f-bod i would appreciate if you showed/told me how you built a box for this or if anyone knows somewhere to have a custom box built for this sub i would appreciate it.

www.subthump.com

How much power you plan on pumping into this puppy? Sealed? Vented? Chances are that there is no need to double up on the thickness of the baffle. Only extreme SPL vehicles are in need of that. I don't see a 13W7 sealed with under 2kWRMS needing 1 1/2 of wood underneath it. Overkill and a ton of added weight. Check out my sig if you think I don't know what I'm talking about....

It's not unheard of..... and is actually useful in some designs.....chances are NOT in this one though.

this is how much jl recommens for the mounting surface of the sub seaing as it is a 52 lb sub that will hit 150 db on any mic with only a jl 1000/1 in a sealed box

and i also tried sub thump they said they cant make it fit

I would double the mounting surface holds screws better and extra support for a 52lb sub(that tells you weight is not a concern)

fiberglassing a box, even a sealed on is a ton of work.....especially being the fact of the sub weight involved.....2 cu ft is a lot of space in the back of an f body but i know a couple guys had RE xxx 15's in there before in 3.0 cu ft enclosures so it can fit in there......you just need to take some pics and some measurements of every area and find the max height of the box.....if you can take the pics and measurments of the areas and give me a max box height then i could design you a box. streit7886@hotmail.com or imsolost7886 on aim if you have any questions.
