amp question for camaros

has anyone placed the amp where the spare tire goes, just wondering thinking about mounting an amp there and takeing the spare out,are behind the seat, but i have only seen it done 1 time but dont know how he did it anyone got any ideas i have 4 subs so cant mount the amp in the trunk space no room i will post pics tomrrow are late so you can see what iam talking about,i have a 96 camaro thanks

It depends on the amp. The only thing you have to worry about is heat. You may have to install fans.

You can mount a board where the spare was then mount the amp to that. Make sure your amp doesnt get too hot tho, are you could have a fire on your hands.

I mounted a small board to the factory amp bracket.

The small sony amp in turn got mounted to this board.

Seems to be working out.. Took a while to get the proper shape of the board since room there is tight. I'm not too worried about heat as the area is not sealed off, and there's plenty of space.
