i have two twelves and only hear rattle when the system is off. It is actually very surprising that the car doesnt rattle that much, certain frequencies make the hatch area rattle outside the car, but not bad. With the windows up there is actually very little sound at all outside the car compared to other cars i've owned or heard. I've decided not to do any sound deadening because there is no rattle that i can here inside the car.
