SSR, you're making this too complicated.

The sails are indeed 6.5" oversized in the camaro (6.75" to be exact) - at least in my 97 camaro they were. Look at my sig, all speakers fit without any modifications to the factory holes.

You use a wiring harness adapter at the HU, connect the respective power/gnd/remote/etc wires. In addition, connect the 8 speaker level wires of the harness as well.

At the amp connector, using jumper wires (16 or 18 gauge wire with tinned ends) to short out the respective pins. In essence, you're using the amp connector as a loop through device to bypass the amp.

I do not know anything about them but the came up as direct relacement.

That link goes to a vehicle selector, not speakers. There are 3 pages of results for an '00 TA. Which speakers are you referring to?

In case you're interested, the Rockford Fosgates (RFP4406) mentioned in the FAQ can be found in an eBay store for $42 / each.

I'am gonna go with the SPS 1005 & SPS 170's
an the Fosgats(rpf4406) for my Rear Sail.
I think these are all direct replacements.
Please correct me if i 'am wrong.
