Default 94z Bose System ....need Speaker Upgrade!!!! Please Help Your Opinions Welcomed!!!

hey, i have a 94z and put a newer model monsoon headunit (w/ cd) in my car,( i did a dash conversion awhile back), my question is this i would like to keep my headunit stock but change out the speakers possibly add a amp for a 10" or 2 ( for bass of course..) but i really would like to keep the headunit stock, change out all the speakers including the back rear bass speaker, and maybe add a few woofers... anybody know a good brand of speakers to use on the stock monsoon headunit im guessing i will keep the stock bose amp going to the door and sailpanel and drivers bass rear speaker and add a amp for the woofers later on anyhow anybody got any ideas i would greatly appreciate any ideas and help thanks ..........

Gut the full system. Bose speakers are amped individually. Bose systems suck!

Man it will be easier to gut the whole thing like said above. Your going to have to spend alot of time and money to figure out the wiring and get it to sound right.

By their own amps.
i have the same car and im planning on changing the speakers.
Fully redo the system, new HU and speakers at a minimum (running speakers of HU) or HU, Amp(s) and speakers, run speakers off Amp this way.
i have a 10 and amp hooked up to the stock deck and it seems to work fine.
If you patch into it right then its no problem
where are the amps at?
Not quite sure, near the speakers i belive.

thing is with the bose system each speaker has its own personal amp and i think its a nonstandard ohm rating.

The amps on the Bose system are attached to each speaker but you might not recognize them as amps - they're plastic-encased boxes about the size of an iPod. The speaker impedance is 16 ohms.
