About 6 months ago, I bought a viper 690 responder alarm. While at work, I think something hit the screen and I had a little dead spot in the upper area. The next month the spot grew larger and now it is covering the border of the screen. I am getting the remote replaced under warranty, but i want to know how to protect the remote better. Any ideas?

if something hit it, it was a fluke and prolly won't happen again. as for protection, i dunno. my keys are either in my pocket or the ignition. those places aren't too hostile.
