Default New speakers all around

Ok guys it time to give in. I'm gonna replace all the speakers with new aftermarket ones. I was thinking memphis or pioneer. What you guys think would be good?

I like pioneer head units but not their speakers.
What is your price range?
Infinity makes a great product for the price

ok im not stealing this thread, but i have a similar prob. i was told i cant replace the speakers because of different ohms, is that in the head unit or the factory amp. how about the wiring on these cars, not to ask a stupid question. in my other camaros ive used jl's and infinity.

I like pioneers, but I went with Ininity's after a friend who owns an audio shop asked me to try them. He had them put in and I absolutely like em. They sound very good and are not that expensive. He also put in some Boss one inch tweeters on the doors directly behind the rear view mirrors ( you cant really see them). I have a 2000 SS convertible and he thought the tweeters might help. He was right. The six speakers recieve power from an inexpensive DHD amp. He also installed a box ($80) that holds two 12" JL audio subs (run by a small fosgate amp).

I would say Infinity's but I'm sure the pioneers would work fine to, it all comes down to what name brand you like better.

98's+ you do have to be careful replacing speakers. There are bi-amped speaker locations, and power coming from both the head unit and the Monsoon amp. So when you replace speakers you need to carefully match (not drop) the ohm loading and also make sure the appropriate channels stay with the appropriate drivers.

It is very possible, and results in much better sound. But you have to know what you are replacing. It makes alot of sense if you have blown Monsoon speakers and have to foot the cost anyways. There are many threads about the wiring arrangements and driver suggestions. Please search.

I would get Kenwood or Alpine before Pioneer speakers. They're a lot better than the stockers, but for similar money I think others are better.
