As far as the Elemental Designs stuff goes, the bottom of this page was enough to steer me away from it.

I don't know how the other stuff comes shipped but this stuff kind of looks like the roofing rolls you buy at home depot, but it clearly doesn't have the smell as the roofing material.

How and in what type of weather did you install your sound deading material?

I live in S. California and were in rain season and from day to day the clouds appear or the sun appears or it'll rain for half a day. Would it be alright to install this stuff on a cloudy day? Thanks.

just use a heat gun (or a blow dryer) to heat up the surface and the material and you will be fine.

I seriously doubt its roofing material.

Update: I finished the trunk and it still has a small amount of rattle when the car is off. When I turn on the car I can barely hear the rattle so im happy with the result.

I did have a rattle caused by the gas lines on the underside of the driver side. I put a rubber piece in between the gas lines and the frame and this stoped the rattles.

Heres a picture of how it came shipped. It doesn't have a roofing oder, but when I did open the box because it captured all the smells it did have musk? oder and I doubt its roofing material.

Has anyone considered filling the a-pillars, b-pillars etc with some type of expanding foam or sound deadener? It would make sense to fill any hollow areas with some type of sound deadening.

I don't want to be the first guy that squirts 'great stuff' into their car and finds out that it has some bad consequences.

**** it works for the F-150s...lol
