Good question i have a Creative Zen Vision: M output is the same type as an ipod. Will it work?

I don't see how another brand would work. I'm sure the I-pods operating system and data cables are different. In fact, it may only work with certain generation I-pods.

Both types of adapters are available. The auxiliary input adapters like the AUX-BOX and the GM9-AUX can be used with any device that can provide input to their RCA jacks. This includes any MP3 player, satellite radio, laptop, or even iPod because it's easy to get cables that connect their headphone jack to the RCAs.

There are also iPod adapters (iPod2Car, AUX-POD, etc.) that do basically the same thing but also provide other features such as battery recharging or head unit control that are specific to the iPod. This type won't work with anything but an iPod.

CarPC>30GB MP3 player.

It is hard to beat the simplicity of the I-pod device though. As long as you can control it with the steering buttons, see the song names and get good sound from it, then it's a step in the right direction.

It's still not going to beat the incredible amount of data and accuracy in the CD standard, though.
