remote wire on the stock stereo system???

remote wire on the stock stereo system???
I am installing an amp in to my 2000 trans am and i dont no which wire in the back of my stock stereo is the remote wire. Can anyone help me?

were did you install the amp? if it is in the rear then you can just tap into the + wire going it the rear speaker. the remote wire just has to connect to a + the is only on when the sterio is on that is why i used the rear speaker, it is the easy way to do it i would have to look at a harness to tell you witch one it is

the remote just has to have some kind of current, and it tell the amp to turn on. it is not drawing an power from the speaker to power the amp. when you turn the radio on the speaker will start to get power from the deck and then you amp will get the signal to turn on. I have had my in for 6 months and have had no problems.

There is a pink wire on the t/a's and a blank spot on the back of camaros. I had to use an old pin off my monsoon amp and splice into the deck plug.
