Then theirs this for $129..installaed seperate cig lighter...say inder the seat...you get hijacked or leave the car...pull the plug or toggle the key fob!

Use the cig lighter to activate a line lock, first time the thief steps on the brakes, he ain't going any further, plus (if it's a carjacker) it lets the carjacker get some distance before the car is rendered immobile, so he doesn't get pissed at you and shoot you or something

I would love to get this device installed on my car. In conjuction With factory keyless entry, Autolock, and this Ravelco...the only way to steal my car would be to tow it.
$399/$499 installed (even in your own driveway or place of Business) has me sold. I just have to recover from my last clutch install, but when I do, Im giving them a call.
BTW, read some of the Testimonials....a couple had me ROTFL

I've worked around units like the Cyclops "TAM" Theft Avoidance Module. They are pretty sweet. You need to push the keyfob button at least 30 seconds before starting the car. After that the circuit turns off and the car won't start. If you really want to get tricky, wire the fob button to any of the visable switches or install your own switch someplace hidden. Since the fob is battery powered, there are no wires going to it which makes it harder to find. You could mount a small pressure switch in the upholstery. Just give it a small press before starting the car. There are lots of options. I've also seen them for about $50. That may have been a special price, but even for $129, it's not too bad.

I prefer my Viper 790XV... you can get a GPS/Cellular module for it...
has radar/doplar so that no one can reach in the t-tops... also has starter disable relay...
not to mention, I use it to remotely start the car, and could theoretically do much, much more... since you can have up to 6 extra 'functions' other than the standard... like radio on/off... if you had airbag suspension, it could control that... A/C, defog... blah blah the list goes on...
I only use the window up/down module, but I plan on the radar module soon... along with the custom voice module... just for fun

This means you need to carry two with you to prevent a car jacking or accidental loss...

On the car I test drove today that one had a little plug you just pull out and it wont start. I dont know what it acctually did but it would not start without that in there. And I dont know how easy it would be to bypass it either.

My mom works in insurance. What she sees MOST of the time in security situations is.
Thieve can't get IN the car to steal so he leaves a message, and usually costs the owner thousands to replace panels, tires, hoods, windows, seats etc etc.
Might just be better to leave it alos with stock alarm. He he wants it, he's gonna get it. Just pray that they leave it in a fair condition.
