Which one for my setup?
Image Dynamics 6.5" Midbasses
sens. 91 dB
2 ohms
RMS power: 150 Watts
Frequency response: 65Hz-4KHz
OR
Audiobahn AMD60Q's
ses. 93 dB
3 ohms
Power Handling: 200 watts R.M.S. /pair
Frequency Response: 30Hz - 5kHz
2 Layer High-temp ASV Voice Coil
Since the Audiobahns have a little more resistance would that mean that they wouldn't be quite as loud as the Dynamics? This might be obvious but I'm not familiar with frequency response and RMS power yet.
as far as frequency it is just the tone... er i think that is the right word, the speaker puts out, the lower the more bassier, higher gets the peaky stuff. rms is the average power it is getting, dont buy stuff for their max power output cause that is crap. that is just how much power they can handle before they blow, but they might only handle that for a split second. rms is max average power it can handle, so the higher rms the higher power you can run to them and still get clear sound out of them. your alpine is prolly rated at like 50w per channel, that is max power. that is why i say it prolly only puts out like 20-25.

The higher current of low impedance speakers gives the advantage of more magnetic force in deflecting the coil making it 'hit' harder. This is only advantageous in subwoofers. The trade-off is that subs are necessarily made stronger and stiffer to prevent them from shredding themselves, which means lower sensitivity, requiring higher power to overcome.
