Can a 2nd Gen Ipod be hooked up to the factory HU?

Default Can a 2nd Gen Ipod be hooked up to the factory HU?
all of the adapters dont have a firewire connector for the ipod so is there any adapter that will work for a 2nd Gen Ipod??

second gens don't have the dock connector so you must use the controls on the iPod to control it. And you must have auxilary inputs on the head unit.
