Upgrading head unit w/ questions. I want to get rid of my stock HU which is a tape deck w/ radio attacted to the Monsoon system. Now the system sounds GREAT with the stock HU but I NEED a CD player. What would be a good aftermarket HU to go with while retaining the quality bass and treble that the stock system delivers? Thanks for your guys help.

If you're happy with the Monsoon system then why not get a factory CD head unit? There are usually a few of them for sale on this board for less than you'll pay for a quality aftermarket system. It will plug right in and mount without needing an installation kit.
Or...you could add a factory CD changer (6 or 12 disc) to your existing cassette head unit. The wiring for it is already installed in your car and you can often find them for sale here as well.
Just suggesting alternatives to an aftermarket system since you like your current system...

If you cant find the factory replacement you want, you can install just an aftermarket headunit with a mounting kit and harness. Further details are in the FAQ.
In your situation, you are probably better off with a factory headunit though.
I'd suggest a 2001+ model becuase it can handle both the factory cd changer and an AUX device (using an aftermarket input converter).
