Elemental Design EU700 speaker install in the sail panels For those of you that have installed these speakers, How did you get them to fit? Did you shim the speaker out or did you cut the brace in behind them?

im fixin to do this myself. I checked it out and it looks like im gonna have to cut some of that panel away back behind the speaker to get it to fit. If you shim it out the grill wont be able to fit back properly.

I did get an answer at LS1.com.
They told me to cut a 3" hole through the brace. The hole will allow the speaker to set flush. If you mount it without the hole you get no base out of it and you have to cut the lower clip off the grill. I don't like the sound of that so I'll take a hole saw to the brace this week end.
