some questions about a new stereo... I don't know too much about stereo stuff, but I'm thinking about getting a new headunit and a sub/amp. I currently just have the stock monsoon. I need to know a couple of things before I buy the headunit.
Will it work with the stock amp and all the stock speakers? Becuase I don't want to replace the stock speakers and amp, and I know the hu powers the tweeters and hatch speaker at 4 ohm, and the amp powers the 6.5" and mid-bass speakers at 2 ohm. Do I need a new wiring harness, and will that sort out all the speakers?
I want to get a HUmout plate, do I still need another mounting plate, or does the HUmout replace the whole thing?
And will the power antenna still work the same with an aftermarket headunit?

ok, so the wiring harness will take care of the speakers and stock amp, and the antenna adapter for the power antenna to work.
So what about the mounting bracket/plate? Does the HUmount mount the deck in place or do I still need another plate?

Tons of places carry them, Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, and most car audio shops will have them. The part # for the correct one is listed in the FAQ. Don't forget the antenna adapter, and mounting kit.

It'll be really easy, I know what Im doing when it comes to stereo stuff but when you go to somewhere like best buy to buy it they'll ask you if you need a wiring harness (you do) tell them your vehicle and they'll get you the right one. Then they'll ask if you need the dash kit(you do) this will make the HU fit in the space fo the stock one. They will have everythign you need.
