Default How to (safely) wire fog lights?

I'm about to install some fogs on a buddy's car and was thinking I'd just tap into the headlight wires for power. However, I'm not sure that's too safe. What's the safest way to go about this? Where should I tap for power and what all do I need? An inline fuse, a relay, .... I'd just rather do this correctly the first time. Thanks.

Question How to wire fog lights to headlights?

I posted this in the appearance section by mistake, but here goes again. I'm looking to wire some fog lights into my buddy's car. It didn't come with fogs so this will be all new wiring. I was considering just tapping into the headlight wiring but I'm pretty sure this isn't the safest way. What is the safest way to wire the fogs so that they're always on with the headlights on? Where should the wires run and what other things might I need (relay, inline fuse)? Thanks for the help.

Why not use the original fog light wiring, that way you have the wires there, use the original switch, and besides IMO it looks neater that way

Because my buddy's car is not an F-body and didn't come with fogs That's why I was wondering.

there are plenty of kits available to wire the ligths. Wal-Mart has them for about 20 bucks with the switch and everything. Work independant of the headlights.

My two cents. . .
