CD player says Err then spits out the cd...

Yea, so just one more crappy monsoon item to cash out. Anyone had this happen?
Well, I guess the HU's laser is prob dead and this is an opportunity to upgrade so I can use my ipod in the car now....any suggestions on a HU?

Does it spit out the CD right away or does the player spin-up, try to read and then spits it out? If it's the former, the problem is mechanical. You may have somepeice of debris clogging the works. Try getting some electronics spray from Radio Shack and spraying the slot well. Note: I suggest trying this with the power off.
