Really odd electric problem when shutting off When I turn my car off, once in a while the accessories will shut off, then come back on about half a second later. When I restart the car it acts like the computer has been reset... the trip meter resets back to 0 miles and the car idle speed bounces around from 500-1000 rpm for a bit until it "relearns" the right idle speeds. I'm not sure if it might be the BCM or if it can be the ignition switch... if anyone has run into something like this please chime in.

Dunno. There's a TSB for the gauge cluster on the '99 models for the trip resetting to zero, sometimes accompanied by the gauges sweeping when the battery voltage is low. I'd start with the battery/connections first.

I was driving this morning and the electronics sort of "reset" like I had just cranked the car. I took it to Autozone and got the battery tested and their tester showed it to be a bad battery... so I bought a new one. Will see if this fixes the problem.
