Default For those of you wanting to order Maptech flushmounts

Hey guys. A couple months ago I picked up a Maptech flushmount kit. This thing is awesome! It looks good, fits great and Mark is a great guy to order from. I thought I would let you guys know however that a situation has developed in Caledonia where they are made. About a month ago a group of native Canadians set up a blockade on the main street because of a land dispute. Things have since got much worse. The townsfolk have set up their own baracade. Rail service to the town has been suspended and as of yesterday Hydro was down and Im not sure if it has been restored or not. The situation has got so bad that some are calling for the Canadian military to intervene. This MAY OR MAY NOT affect Mark's ability to ship products out or even answer emails. Caledonia is a pretty small town about an hour from where I live so it's in the news every day. Im posting this because most of you in the States will not hear anything about this. Like I said, this may not even be an issue as far as Mark's business goes. I suggest any of you looking to order a kit from him give him a call first. You will not be dissapointed with the quality of his work.

Today's Toronto Star is reporting that one of the barricades has been taken down but that it could be 3-4 days before hydro (electricity - hydro-electric power for those of us in the States) will be restored. The railway and Hwy 6 bypass barricades are still there but there is hope that they will be taken down soon.
