I have seen good instals with the subs in custom fiberglass enclosures where the back seat bottoms are. There is also someone on this board that makes a box that replaces the pass through and mounts up high in the trunk. These are the best ideas I have seen as it seems rediculous to me to fire your subs into the trunk lid where the only ones who would benefit from it are those people outside your car.

Best place is right behind the seats but its difficult to get good sound out of a vert because all cabin gain is lost.

You can only use a passenger side stealth in a vert (due to the pump on the drivers side) and you have to sacrifice the spare tire to do it. FYI

todddchi is dealing with this right now as well. Look at his thread entitled "subwoofer enclosure experts" for help too.

Mine is in the trunk, and trust me if you put enough power through the subs as they are non dirrectional you will feel the bass no matter where you put them. My system hits REAL hard with the roof up or down.
