Stock CD Changer problems
Stock CD Changer problems Hey, was hoping to get some advice on my stock CD changer. I've really never used it but I went to put a couple CDs in yesterday and it give error (ERR on the head unit) on all CDs I try in any slot. Double checked the obvious like trying known good CDs, making sure they were faced properly, etc. One CD did actually count tracks but it would never actually play them. It would act like it would with no sound. You can hear it changing discs so I know it's responding to commands from the head unit.
I was hoping someone might know something obvious that I could do to get it running. Any help is apprciated.

Yeah, I checked it several times and even flipped them to make sure. No codes, I just get Err.... I think the loader might be screwed up because when I pulled the magazine out this morning just to check again, one of the trays was laying in the bottom of the well. I guess I just need a new one..
So no numerical error codes displayed? I believe there is a small reset button on the front have you tryed that. I would try that, and if that dose not work try disconnecting it and reconnecting it at the harness.
Is it on the front of the CD changer or the head unit? I'll try resetting it. I did have the battery out this weekend too but that didn't fix anything. Thanks for all the recommendations fellas!
