What Frequency Do You Cross-Over?
it depends on the subs and mids and hi's. i never set my subs higher than 80hz. my last car they were set at 50hz, but that was a sound quality car, with 7 inch mid bass in the door.
depending on the amount of speakers, midbass drivers in the car, and amount of bass you enjoy. Usually when i do a customers vehicle ill set it anywhere from 80hz to about 120 if its a weak amp and I need to up the volume. Either way I usually do it by ear as some speakers respond well at different frequencies in different box options.
yep, it all depends on the install and the rest of the system. But generally anywhere from 40 to 90 seems to work, with a majority of people falling in the 50 to 70 range.
I think mine are set to around 40 or 50, but I'm running some serious mid's upfront too.
