Monsoon system question
Is there any reason why purchasing some regular 6 1/2 speakers to replace them wouldn't work? I dunno squat about stereos, and I just want to make sure they the amp doesn't put out a signal or something that would be bad for regular speakers. I don't plan on getting a real sub in my car, but I want something to replace those two speakers so I can get some bass back.

Those, for example. If I buy those, will they fit and get my bass back, if I hook them up next to the rear seats? Also, will the tweeter on the speakers be useless, since I assume the Monsoon amp only sends low frequencies to those speakers?
EDIT:
Actually, would something like this be better to replace those speakers with?

...since they don't have a tweeter?

Doesn't sound promising.
If price is your main concern, I'd go with these Kenwoods for the same price:

Remember, you stock speakers are dual voice coil midbasses, with each coil wired seperately to the Monsoon amplifier. So, there are 4 wires going to each sail speaker. You'll only use 2 wires for your replacement speakers.
The amplifier pinout identifying the wire colors is available here:

I'd suggest using the matching coil pairs (i.e. either both coil 1 or both coil 2 Subwoofer outputs). And watch you speaker polarity.
