I honestly hate them. I joined one a long time ago for a ATI Radeon graphics card that , at the time, was listed for 400+. They gave me the price for the 40, so I signed up and found that I'd be another name on a sucka list waiting for more suckas to buy in. The object of the game is to have a persons name on the list, say number 1, and wait for a specific number of names to sign up for that item. For example, Timmy is number one on a list of 10. Billy signs up too but is placed as number 2. this goes on and on until the list is complete with 10 people, that's when Timmy gets his product. Billy moves into 1 and the rest move up one. I mean it's a clever way to get a product, all you have to do it convince people to sign up for you to get the product and them do the same to get their own. Its a real pain in the ***, i hate it. But this was my experience with Ebooks and stuff.
BTW- I never got my graphics card. =(

It's a variation of the classic Pyrimid scheme.

They sucker you into buying a worthless ebook to get your name on the list for a specific "FREE" high value item such as laptops, cameras, or other electronics. When they sucker enough fools to buy onto the list to cover the cost of the free item plus a tidy little profit, the guy on the top of the list gets one of these items for the price of the ebook he bought. As soon as they sell X more ebooks, the next guy on the list gets one. This continues until the scammer pulls the plug on it and all those left on the list gets squat. The scammer supposedly can't be sued because oficially he was only selling you an ebook, which he delivered on.

You're basically buying a raffle ticket. Except you can't win unless there's enough fools behind you on the list to pay for your prize as well as a prize for every idiot in front of you.

besides the scam deal, jl audio will not honor any warranty on any product sold over the internet. this is from their website..."we do not believe that Internet retailers can provide the level of service we feel our customers deserve and we do NOT authorize any dealer to sell our mobile audio products via Internet or Mail Order." just dont want you to get screwed.

I just checked out the link. The guy is JUST auctioning off a link to where you get a CHANCE of getting one of those subs. The bid is up to $81.

And he even has the ***** to charge $5 shipping for the emailed link. lol

Damn, if I didn't have a conscience, I could make some serious jack on ebay.

Check the sellers feedback page. Either he's selling the same BS he bought fom someone else not 2 months ago. Or he has multiple accounts and uses it to bid up the price on this scam. I noticed that of the 6 folks to bid on this, 4 have no feedback history. And the other to have 4 and 2 transactions respectively.
