Any way to use a CD head unit with the 12 Disc Changer My Tape head unit went bad, actually 1 channel did, and I went to replace it with a CD head unit that I purchased off here. The new CD head unit will not recognize the 12 Disc changer. Its a 98 Camaro with the Monsoon system (Tape head unit) and 12 Disc changer. Is there a way to get them to work together? If not I will trade someone straight up for a Tape Head unit.

The CD changer will work with a CD head unit from mid-99 through 02. Prior to that only the cassette head unit could control the changer. It's the year of the head unit not the year of the car that makes the difference. What year was the CD head unit you bought?
There is no way to upgrade or adapt the older head units to work with the changer short of gutting them and replacing with newer parts.
