You are very lucky, It is a small percentage of people who are happy with their jensen equipment.

Default Headunit on Fire!

I'll have to 2nd that one, I forgot but I had a Pioneer DEH-8400 in my 93 Formy... Well, techincally I had 2... The first one CAUGHT ON FIRE! Yes, in my dash. I was getting on an on ramp and smoke started pouring out of the dash! I immediately pulled over and luckily I had a tool set in the car so 4 bolts and it was out. I could see inside the casing flames! Ran down in a ditch (I live in Lousiana) to sprinkle some water on it. God that smelled so bad in my car. Sent it back to Pioneer, they couldn't determine the cause of it (thought I just put water on it??? ) and sent it off to Japan. Several months later, I FINALLY get a new one cause they determined it was a malfunction of the headunit. Last Pioneer anything I'll own.

all of my regular hu's have been pioneer. i personally prefer pioneer over most anything else. but, i couldn't justify spending more than $1k for a stereo. i don't mind the jensen. the only thing i don't like about it is that it sticks out too far, (need to get a flushmount), the tracks always start back at the begining, and the volume is always at 20 when i turn the car on.

also, i think the warranty is for 3 years.

Yeah I wish it didn't stick out, but my Sony screen did too? It was an older one though. My tracks and volume all start where they were when I killed the car.

Elemental designs is working on a 5 channel amp! Check out the thread where they'r discussing it now http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthre...2&page=1&pp=10

If its gonna have the power rating that most of the votes went for, that just very well may be the best 5 channel amp on the market for that $350 to $450 range

i was looking at the 6WOs myslef, because i didnt want to have to cut anything in my car. But the 6WOs are also 4 ohm like the 8s, so they proabably wouldnt sound as good as the stockers without an amp

actually, my 8's are 8ohms. so the 6wo's would probably sound better.

i just didn't mind the 8ohms, cause i planned on pushing them with an amp anyway. and for 50 bucks for the set, i couldn't bitch.

I am going to try polk momo 8's right there. I hope they fit. I will be putting a polk momo 12 in the rear. That looks real nice.

Question for ya. Did you put any baffleing material behind those 8's???
