Default Well these be okay?

Okay, I read throught every FAQ on the monsoon system and what to use when replacing. I understand the 2-ohm and 4-ohm thing and that it needed to be around 45-RMS, so I found a set of 6.5 speakers for my rear-seat area, and they are 180Watts max & 35RMS nominal... so figuring that at 2-ohm the orginals were getting 300watts, and these speakers are 4-ohm, will that cut that in half and basically they are getting 150watts..... Just want to know if these are going to be okay... I got them cheap and they were new....???

how are you figuring the original speakers were receiving 300 watts ?

I think your replacements should be fine.

I read where someone thought they were getting 300watts, but maybe that was both... look through the FAQs, after reading about 10 of them I was starting to become confused... lol....

Thanks though,, I thought as long as I kept the RMS a little lower than original and not go over 45RMS, that I should be fine.

your backwards, you want speakers that can handle higher rms values, not lower. But still, something in the 30 to 40 range should be ok.
