Default some ohm issues

alpine mrp-m450 amplifier mono
10" type r 2 ohms

how to i wire it with the bannana plugs to keep it at 2 ohms or if i dont use them how do i connect it so that it will run 2 ohms

thanks

btw alpine type r is dual voice coil

Those speakers come in either dual 2 ohm (SWR-1022D) or dual 4 ohm (SWR-1042D) versions. If you are using one speaker, it is not possible to have a final load of 2 ohms with the SWR-1022D. You would have to have the dual 4 Ohm version to do that. The only options for the SWR-1022D is 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

blacker is correct, you can only get 2ohm load (with 1 sub) if you have the dual 4ohm version of the sub

damn... is it not going to sound very good since with 4 ohms i get almost half power out of my amp?

or if i wire it 1 ohm will i kill my amp? or sub?

The Alpine MRP-M450 is not 1 ohm stable. Sounds like you need to get the dual 4 ohm version to get what you want. The dual 2 ohm versions are good when you use 2 of them, like I am doing. That gives you a final load of 2 ohms.
