Dayum! After attaching dynomat to everything plastic, to tone down the rattles, I thought I was on the right track. I intend on doing the entire car eventually. And, after ditching the front footwell space, in leiu of custom kick panels. Then sacrificing my T-top storage for a custom enclosure for 2-12" Infinity Kappa Perfects, with custom cover... I thought I'd be in the running.

James Bond flip face, proper circuits and wiring, 1000 watts of polished stainless Xtant to the subs, and ample Alpine to the 4 channel later, I'm still playing catch-up to a few on this board (you know who you are).

Some of you guys have KICK-*** installs going. I do do all my own work, and have been doing so for over 10 years (started at age 15).

Just finished the 1000 watts to the 12's today, and all I can say is wow! Once I put it all back together, I was waiting for some snag, but it's all loud, and all clean. The back window shakes like a leaf, the T-tops actually pound in and out, anything that isn't bolted down just crappy-flops around the car, including your eye sockets. I found it impossible to focus, when the bass hits!

I have no idea what the SPL is right now, but can't wait to find out! One question though... has anyone figured out a way to tone down the rattling spoiler? I've done many systems in the past, and never came across a rattle I couldn't fix, but then again, I've never had the power to literally pound a car to peices.

There are quite a few knowledgeable stereo nuts on this site. Myself included, installing systems is all I used to do (before the speed bug bit HARD). Every single car I've ever owned had a large system in it, except for the Formula haha.

We want to be sure that the Forum Directors on this site will participate. We have a few that we brought onto the staff in other sections that hardly ever post or visit the site. If you have an early membership number and still don't have very many posts, how can we be sure you will change?

Thanks for all of the inquiries though, we are watching for participation

Check your liscense plate... What I do is take the plate off one night and apply a generous bead of silicone in the groove around the perimeter of the back side. Let it cure overnight and the next morning re-install it. I've found the liscense plate to be the cause of 90% of rattles in the rear of most cars.

I removed the plastic panel on the underside of the hatch and dynomatted under there; and also behind the tail lights and along the back wall. So the back wall has dynomat on both sides of it. No rattles.

MY system:

Focal 165k2 Components with the tweets in the a-pillars

Rockford Fosgate 800.4 for the speakers

bd500.1 for the JL 10w3 in the pass side stealth box.

Brown Bread sound deadener under the whole car. Did all the installs myself, and it sounds great!

What does spending huge money on a car have to do with knowledge?

if you read the thread, you would know that they all did the install themselves therefore they know whats going on. some of them even did their own custom (fiberglass...)molding. nowhere did i read that they have a lot of knowledge because they spent xx dollars

i could be wrong, maybe i missed it though.
