Focal speakers, thoughts?

Focal speakers, thoughts? Well with my old car I had premier componets with 50 watts to them and they werent loud for my taste. I was thinking in my car now to go w/ something thats 100 watts RMS. The focal 165 k2 is just that. Is anyone have these or have heard these? I was something LOUD AND CLEAR! And where is the best place to get them? And is it worth money? I have heard that these are expensive.

Re: Focal speakers, thoughts? You can find them on e-bay for a lot less money. I got mine from Ravi ( Indoaudio@aol.com ). He has very good customer service and is quick to respond. I am happy with them so far, even just powered of the HU ( 60x4 ).

Re: Focal speakers, thoughts? I honestly dont think that your getting the potential of those focals if your just running off the HU. Are u planning to get an amp? (I only ask b/c i know u obviosly want something sweet thats why u got focals.) The HU "60X4" hardly ever pushes that much. Get a 50X4 amp and there is a HUGE difference. just my thoughts take it or leave it.

I got a price on those 165 k2s and its CHEAP!. Makes me wonder if there real. I talked to some guys at a local stereo place today and said that they are A LOT more than i was quoted from Ravi. So are those speakers real? and are they used? or does this guy have a major hook up?
Anyone else have these speakers??

Re: Focal speakers, thoughts? around $350? Yep they are real, hehe. I don't think Focal will honor a warranty unless purchased through an authorized dealer, so be aware of that. Ravi, along with most other ebay stores sell them close to wholesale cost.
I know a bunch of other people on ls1.com have bought from Ravi with great success.

So for i been thinking of getting an alpine deck, soundstream or zapco amps and 2 12" solobarics or jl audio subs.
