Mounting amp in spare tire well....
I don't carry around the spare tire/jack so making a bracket would be easy.

I used to have an over heating problem in my S-10.. I had a sub box with the amps on top of it and a lid that folded over the whole thing so it looked like just a sub box. The lid came with in 1/4 inch from the top of the amps but had 6-8 inches on either side. I did just as Drew2G2 said and put 2 compter power supply fans in the box, used the remote wire that turns on the amp so the fans would come on at the same time. I put the 2 fans on one side and just vented the other so there wouls be a cross breeze. I don't think you will have a problem if you put 1 or 2 fans blowing across the amp.
Just a few details, the amp is a Kenwood PS300 series that's about 3-4 years old but has two cooling fans built in which I guess help. It hits hard and like I said, has never gotten that warm. I scrapped the spare as well for a couple cans of fix-a-flat since the spare is pretty much worthless in my oppinion.
