I went to the local cartunes by my house to see about a custom box in the spare tire&jack space and he quoted me 350 for the box and then he recommended a 12" JL audio W30, with a 300.2 amp pushing it and with wiring and complete install it came to $1000$ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I think that is a bit much and he said he could bring it down to $950. The other thing is that the sub and amp are on sale now.
SO what do you all think? to much?
TIA

That is a lot of money. The amp is about 330 and the sub is 120, thats 450. And the box was 350?? ouch. I bet you could find one cheaper than that. Go do it your self with some buddies that know what there doing. Trust me once you get done you will be proud of your work.

Here's a link to the box your looking for
www.subthump.com
I've bought from here before and very high quality work.
As for the equipment I found the best price here
www.cbrstereo.com
I ordered my JL sub and RF 500bd from here and received it 3 days later.

Yeah i think that the amp is a good quality one. I am not sure about the W0, what about a W3? my friend had one in his truck, i liked it a lot. It just depends on how much u want to spend.

The box has worked out great so far.I have a JL12w3 in it now and sound is unbelievable compared to the single 10" in the rear driver side before. Also optioned the box with a FireHawk logo.I did a quik install of a Rockford Fosgate 500bd in the driver side cubby hole(were the optional CD changers go)and a 1 farad Cap mounted under the rear hatch reliese. This winter I'll make an Amp rack in the back when I have more time.

You'll have a choice of dual 2ohm series to 4ohm or dual 4 ohm paralel to 2 ohm.If your amp is just going to feed the sub,I would recommend a mono Amp.
