opinions on speakers

opinions on speakers k well I blew my factory monsoon sail panel subs and wanted something that directly replaces them and wouldn't blow out as easily so I bought some kicker ks65's. I'm not looking to get a crazy system or anything the stock sound is good enough for me. I just wanted some speakers that would last.

haha yeah sorry I was really tired when I made that post. what are yall sound guru's opinions in those speakers? when I move to college and get a job I'm gonna eventually replace the factory 2 ohm amp with a 4 ohm of equal power I think. or if I put in my aftermarket h/u should I wire them to that?

If you're happy with the Monsoon sound then you shouldn't need to replace either the amp or the head unit. In fact, the amp is probably the best component of the Monsoon system. For now, you should be able to install your Kicker speakers in the sail panels (connect them to the longer pair of wires and cap off the shorter pair) without problem. The amp will handle the 4-ohm speakers there pretty well.

Sound quality will actually be a little better because of the higher quality speaker. The 4-ohm impedance would normally reduce the volume but since the replacement speakers are more efficient than the factory ones there won't be much difference.

The T/A speakers are 4-ohm but they're dual voice coil wired in parallel to produce a net 2-ohm impedance for the amp. The Camaro speakers are single voice coil 2-ohm.
