You prolly wont believe this but try this for yourself if you dont believe. When the motor is cold and you start it, you will here the air pump run(electric), after it shuts off (high pitch whine) have your headlights aimed at a wall or the garage door. Then hit the throttle a couple of times to get the pump to turn back on when it does the lights will flicker.
The reason this does this is because the motor turning on draws alot of juice and draws the electrical system down temporarily. Causing the lights to "flicker"
I searched like you guys did and I found this one day while working on a differant problem under the car with the lights on.

Have fun, Dave</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Damn, I got all the way down and couldn't believe no one had mentioned the A.I.R. pump until Farmer did. This is normal on all GM vehicles. Kinda similar to when your A/C compressor engages and the lights should dim a little temporarily.
