with $120 u can't forget about any decent amp with more than 300 watts....much less 1600.....legacy is like power acoustik...under rated and hit or miss reliability

I got my 1200 watt sony class d amp witch after finding out how to install the dang thing it hits very very hard it cost me 209.00 from best buy. You might think of saving your money for a while longer like I had to and get what you want not what you can afford. Just my 2 cents.

You should also look at the JBL amps. They are an overlooked value amp. They give big watts for the money. Be advised, Legacy amps are only rated at peak output, not rms. So 1800 watts peak output but who knows what they put out rms. Also, legacy doesn't list their thd's or any other vital information. If a company doesn't list this stuff, they don't want you to know it, and that scares me. Either save up to buy a good name brand amp or check out used amps. A lot of iasca guys will sell of their used gear at unbelievable prices.

yea the legacy amp I have looked at has a built in crossover 4 channel and 1600 watts of power for only $88 its refurbished with a 1year mfg warrenty though I just dont know if I got that I could run each sub at 650 each. Rms is 2 x 800 Watts Bridged Output ill have to think about it more....

If you are only running a pair of 12" or 10" an amp that puts out a true 500 - 600 true watts will pump them pretty hard. On your budget I would check out the JBL 300.1 on E-Bay and run one sub for now and get another one later for the other. These are the ones that look like a smashed pyramid and though they are ugly they put out great power and are dirt cheap for the power.
