Default Pics of single DIN HU installs

Thinking of changing to an Alpine, but I am afraid of what it will look like., It looks like Metra has a decent install kit. Please post pics of single DIN installs and let me know what the install kit is, if you know.

Here is a pic of my camaro's install. The pic is kind of crappy. I have a Pioneer Premir HU

The face plate is custom I got it from http://www.humount.com/. I rewired my system to bypass the monsoon system.

Here is a pic of mine with my old *** Pioneer. It actually looks a little different because I have 3 mini on/off/on switches mounted in the space just above the HU now.

Seawolf, i'm a newbie when it comes to stereo stuff so bear with me. The H/U you have is a 1 DIN. When you purchased the mount from humount is that the size of the H/U you must have for their mounting kit? Or does it matter what size H/U you have ?

They only make radio's 1 din, 1 1/2 din and double din. If you have a 1 din, then you need the kit, or can make something custom. With a 1 1/2 din you can't use a kit because it fits just like stock. Those that I know that put in double dins have to do some trimming and such to make it fit.

Heres mine. Kinda complicated with the widebands and boost gauge but looks great and functional.
