Blew my front speakers, what to replace them with? Ive got the Monsoon sound system in my '00 SS and just recently I noticed that it really sounds like crap when there is a song with alot of bass. Im pretty sure that theyre blown, but whether they are or not, I want to replace them. Since Im going to be replacing the front ones, I wanted to do the back ones as well. What speakers will out do the Monsoon set up for a reasonable cost. Im not looking to put it in a sound contest, but I want it to sound incredibly better than what it has in there now. I dont want to modify anything or install subs, so I need some suggestions on speakers that will fit in the stock locations. Thanks By the way, Im not sure on my budget for this yet, but give me 2 suggestions, one for the money and one that money isnt an issue.
Re: Blew my front speakers, what to replace them with? what speaker to use is really a matter of preference over budget. Whatever ur willing to pay for. . just remeber those speakers behind the sail panels are 6" dual voice coil speakers. it's going to be kinda tough to find a speaker matching that spec. and for best performance try to keep the ohm load on ur new speakers the same as the factory. I know that really doesn't help you make a choice on brand, but hope it helps a little. good luck

Im not sure on what my budget is just yet, but lets just say that money isnt an issue...what can I replace my speakers with that I wont have to modify anything and they will be a direct fit. All I want to do is take out the old ones and put in the new ones. I had a system in my 1st truck, (JLAudio, PPI, and Kenwood), but that doesnt relate to my car. I dont know whats out there for it, but suggestions would be great. Im not looking to put the car in a competition or anything, but I want it to be an awesome upgrade over the stock. Thanks
