stupid stock cd player = dead battery
It was working fine, then I took out a cd and went to put another one in. Well it immediately read (Err) and kicked the disc out and played the radio. Now it says Err for like 5 secs then quickly flashes the time then back to the Err. It also sounds like it is trying to read a cd. Even with the car off it is doing this. Well I went out this morning to start my car and the stupid CD player must have stayed on all night and drained the battery completley. Has this happend to anybody else? How did yall fix it?
i called Chevy's service department which was very helpful and they explained to me that the CD player was most likely messing up because the AC Delco battery was pretty much drained. He advised me to buy a new battery and that would set the CD player back to normal (ant-theft...low battery) something like that. Well i put a new Optima Red battery in my car and my CD player is working fine now. So for anybody else that this might happen to, check ur battery u might need a new one.
